PUCHKO – John P. 87, Richland, formerly of Crafton; died September 11, 2019, at Richland Woods. Born February 9, 1932, in South Fork, son of Stephen Sr. and Susan (Hamas) Puchko.
Preceded in death by parents; beloved wife, Jean S. (Rusczyk) Puchko, who died January 19, 2016; infant sister, Eileen Puchko; sisters, Dorothy Thomas, Mary Connelly, and Gloria Hull; and brothers, Frank and Stephen Puchko Jr. Survived by brother, Edward Puchko, South Fork; sister-in-law, Theresa (Stanley) Anisko, Rio Vista, California; and brother-in-law, Joseph (Carol) Rusczyk, Kings Park, New York; and numerous other cherished family and friends.
John was a graduate of Adams Township High School, class of 1951. He was a US Army veteran of the Korean War and a retired meat inspector with the US Department of Agriculture. John will be remembered for his outgoing and charismatic personality highlighted by his wit and humor. He enjoyed the outdoors, fishing and hunting, and was best known for his love of cooking.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Charles O. Dimond Funeral Home, Inc., 621 Maple Street, South Fork.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Monday at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 550 Main Street, South Fork; Father Joseph C. Nale, Celebrant.
