John F. Kranyc

KRANYC – John F., 60, Elizabethtown, formerly of South Fork, died January 27, 2018. Born October 19, 1957, in Windber, son of John and Verdean (Poprich) Kranyc.

Preceded in death by parents; brother, Frank; and special friend and caregiver, Corey Halterman.

Survived by aunt, Gilda Kranyc; special cousins, Cindy and Andrew Kranyc, all of Windber; and dear friends and caregivers, Mike and Darlene Halterman, Elizabethtown.

John was a graduate of Forest Hills High School, Class of 1975 and had worked for Moyer Potato Chips, Elizabethtown. He enjoyed the outdoors and loved spending time at the Halterman’s cabin in Orbisonia.

Friends will be received from 11 a.m. until time of service at noon Thursday at Charles O. Dimond Funeral Home, Inc., South Fork, by Father Joseph C. Nale.

Committal, Forest Lawn Cemetery, Johnstown.
