WADDELL – Joanne Violet, 87, South Fork, passed away May 18, 2020. Born March 25, 1933, in South Fork, daughter of Earl “Zeke” and Violet G. (Custer) Tranter.
Preceded in death by parents; husband, Matthew Waddell, who died October 28, 2009; and brothers, Devon and David Tranter.
Survived by children, Larry, married to Laurie (Critchlow), Endicott, New York; Susan, wife of Rodger “Hoss” Jennings, Salix; Earl, married to Michele (Stofko), Geistown; and Alan, married to Betty (Cronauer), Portage; fourteen grandchildren; seventeen great-grandchildren; and one great great-grandson; sisters, Karen Hardbower, Fredericksburg, Virginia; Linda Heidenreich, Lawton, Michigan; and Erlene Naugle, Fisherville, Virginia.
Joanne was a graduate of South Fork Croyle High School, class of 1950. She was a member of First United Methodist Church, South Fork; and was proud to earn President’s Club status for Avon where she was a sales representative for over 50 years. She enjoyed listening to Elvis and spending time with family and friends at the camp she and her husband shared at Glendale Yearround. She was a loving and devoted mother, had a kind and generous spirit; and was always willing to help others.
Due to public health concerns visitation is private.

Interment, Forest Lawn Cemetery.
