SHRIFT – Jennifer L., 47, Mt. Holly Springs, formerly of New Germany; died December 2, 2023. Born April 20, 1976, in Johnstown, daughter of John G. and Gaynell A. (Evanisko) Shrift. Preceded in death by mother, who died April 13, 2023.
Survived by father; brother, John G. Shrift II; aunts and uncles, Francis (Barb) Evanisko, James Evanisko, Judith (Joe) McIntyre, Dorothy (Daniel) Danko, Susan (Larry) McCoy, and Marilyn (Jim) Yust; and numerous cousins.
Jennifer worked in records management for the Pennsylvania Department of Corrections. She had a strong sense of family, cherished her close circle of friends, and adored her beloved cats; Mamma and Tigger. She loved gardening and canning. Her hope and courage were an inspiration to all. Though she fell asleep in this world, we find peace knowing she has awakened in Heaven. Not only does she live in the presence of God, but she is together with her mother.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 5 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Charles O. Dimond Funeral Home, Inc., South Fork.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Friday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Father Jospeh C. Nale, celebrant.
Committal, St. Marys Cemetery, New Germany; at a later date.
Jennifer gave in death, as she gave in life and was an organ and tissue donor.
