STIFFLER – James W., 77, Summerhill Township, died September 30, 2017, at Memorial Medical Center, surrounded by loving family.
Born July 15, 1940, in St. Michael, son of Jess W. “Bip” and Agnes E. (Costlow) Stiffler. Preceded in death by father; and sister, Barbara Grattan-Wadsworth.
Survived by mother, Westmont, formerly of South Fork; wife of 48 years, Victoria (Ferrell) Stiffler, whom he married October 5, 1968; son, Mathew, married to Jennifer (Heinen) and their son, Cade, San Clemente, California; and daughter, Erin Stiffler, Summerhill Township. Brother of Jacob (Mary Lou), Salix; Michael (Diane), St. Michael; Patrick (Loretta), Fort Mohave, Arizona; Rose Mary (George) Lulos, Johnstown; Regis, (Cherie), Middletown; Dorothy (Thomas) Horn, Duncannon; Joseph (Shelli), Richland; and John (Kirsten), Ebensburg. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews; and faithful canine companions, Sophie and Mariah.
Jim was a US Army Veteran of the Vietnam War. He work as a quality control manager and was a certified hypnotherapist. Jim will be dearly missed by his family, friends and everyone who had the pleasure of meeting him.
Honoring his wishes there will be no public viewing.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass which will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church, South Fork, by Father Joseph C. Nale.
