GOUGHNOUR – James W. “Jim,” 74, Mineral Point, died December 31, 2020 at home. Born April 26, 1946, in Mineral Point, son of William P. and Sadie Mae (Bailey) Goughnour. Preceded in death by parents; and infant great-grandson, Milo J. Goughnour.
Survived by loving wife of 51 years, Leona L. (George) Goughnour, whom he married June 14, 1969; children, Samuel, engaged to Sharon Krestar, South Fork; Jason, engaged to Pam Wagner, Vinco; Ted, Johnstown; Gretchen, wife of Jeff Buksa, Johnstown; Ben, married to Ann (Gruse), Nanty Glo; and Rebecca, wife of Tim Bowden, Nanty Glo; grandchildren, Ray, Keith, Sierra, James, Corinna, Brianna, Joseph, Keira, Zoey, Michael, Bridget, and Nathan; great-granddaughter, Brynlee; brother, Danny, married to Barbara (Langford), York; and sisters, Paulette, wife of Chris Nesbitt, Mineral Point; and Wanda, wife of Cloyd Wirick, Mineral Point.
Graduate of Triangle Area High School, class of 1964. Member of St. John Lutheran Church, Summerhill; where he served as church council president. Jim worked for Bethlehem Steel and retired from FreightCar America. He was an avid railroad enthusiast and a talented craftsman who could create almost anything.
Friends will be received from 2 to 8 p.m. Sunday and from 9:30 to 10:30 a.m. Monday at Charles O. Dimond Funeral Home, Inc., South Fork.
Funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Monday at St. John Lutheran Church.
Interment, Lillydale Cemetery.
