Irene M. Minor

MINOR – Irene Marie, 65, Summerhill, died September 20, 2022. Born January 29, 1957, in Windber, daughter of Stephen R. Sr. and Jean M. (Serre) Barbalish. Preceded in death by parents; and brother, Stevie Barbalish.

Survived by loving husband of 45 years, Douglas F. Minor, who she married April 16, 1977; daughters, Jenelle, wife of Tony Klatt, Munster; and Kayla, wife of David Lingafelt, Duncansville; beloved grandchildren, Anthony (Tristen Gressick) and Lily Klatt; and Rayne, Jack, and Marcus Lingafelt; sisters, Jeanne, wife of Thomas McDowell, Hooversville; Yvonne, widow of Ronald Homler, Johnstown; and Yvette, wife of Harry Ruddek, Dunlo; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Member of St. Bartholomew Catholic Church, Wilmore. Graduate of Greater Johnstown Vo-Tech, class of 1975. Irene was a retired Route Process Administrator with Coca-Cola. She was an avid reader, enjoyed working outside, and cherished time together with her grandchildren.

Friends will be received from 2 to 7 p.m. Friday, immediately followed by vigil prayers and final visitation at Charles O. Dimond Funeral Home, Inc., South Fork.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday at St. Bartholomew Catholic Church, Father Joseph C. Nale, celebrant.
