Ida M. Ardire

ARDIRE – Ida M., 90, DuBois, formerly of South Fork and Johnstown, died January 31, 2017, at Christ the King Manor, Dubois. Born June 21, 1926, in Compo Bella Di Lacata, Sicily; daughter of Luigi and Teresa (Lonardo) Bellavia. Preceded in death by parents; and husband, Anthony A. Ardire, who died July 5, 2008; and sisters, Jennie Mulato and Josephine Debnar.

Survived by sons, Dr. Anthony J., married to Patricia (Kissell), Allentown; and Arthur A., married to Deborah (Modis), Dubois; grandchildren, Matthew, married to Kristie (Servello); Kristin, wife of Michael O’Brien; Danielle, wife of Phillip Feurtado; Audra, wife of Thomas Crawford; Brian, married to Katrina (Rung); and Maria, wife of Jose Godoy; great-grandchildren, Olivia Feurtado, Anna and George Ardire, and Lucas and Logan Crawford.

Ida was a member of St. Catherine Church, Dubois; and a former member of Most Holy Trinity Church, South Fork; St. Benedict Church, Giestown; and St. Patrick Church, Clearfield.
She worked 22 years as a bookkeeper for Empire Foundations, South Fork; and also worked for Dietrick Hardware and Hawksworth Hardware, both in Nanty Glo. Member of South Fork Card Club and the Women’s Club. She was an avid bowler and a long time hockey fan.

Friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Charles O. Dimond Funeral Home, Inc., South Fork, where vigil for the deceased will be held at 4 p.m.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10:30 a.m. Monday at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church, by Fr. Joseph C. Nale.
