PATTERSON – I. Mark, 70, of Richland, native of St. Michael, died March 23, 2023.
Born February 25, 1953, son of Irvin and Margaret I. “Peg” (Galloway) Patterson.
Preceded in death by parents; Aunt Bev; father and mother-in-law, Clyde and Marie Gallardy; and brother-in-law, Clyde W. Gallardy.
Survived by loving wife, Clara (Gallardy) Patterson; daughters, Hollie, wife of C.J. Sinar; and Melinda Patterson; the loves of his life, grandsons, Cade and Owen; in-laws, Donna and Gary Gramling; Peter and Jeannie Gallardy; Maryanne and William Connell; Cindy and Kenneth Hanover; and Margie Gallardy; numerous nieces, nephews, cousins, countless friends, his fur son, Max and grand-dog, Dobby.
Mark was a graduate of Forest Hills High School Class of 1971 and a 1975 graduate of the University of Pittsburgh with a bachelor’s degree in industrial engineering. Throughout the years he worked for Union Carbide, Bethlehem Steel and NDIC. He was an accomplished scuba diver, having dived in many places including The Great Barrier Reef. He was a member of DAN, Elks, Moose, American Legion and NARFE. He enjoyed motorcycling, golfing, skiing, traveling and was an avid Pitt fan. His legacy as a gentle and loving man, will always live on.
Friends will be received from 5 to 9 p.m. Monday and 9 to 11 a.m. Tuesday at Charles O. Dimond Funeral Home, Inc., 621 Maple Street, South Fork where funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. Tuesday, Rev. John Ciampa, officiating.
Interment, Forest Lawn Cemetery.
