Holly Kmetz

September 1, 1964 — June 13, 2024

KMETZ – Holly, 59, Ehrenfeld, passed away June 13, 2024, at home. Born September 1, 1964, in Latrobe. Preceded in death by loving parents, Jack and Phyllis “Great” (Williams) Jones; infant brother, Jack; and ornery pet pig, Hank.

Survived by beloved children, Frank “Abe” (Katlyn) Kmetz; John (Brittany) Kmetz; and Kelly Plummer (Dylan); cherished grandchildren, Bentley, Kinley, Camden, Brodey, John, Easton, Kensington and Ava; loving siblings, Phyllis O’Hara (Jim), Jackie Huska (Chuck), Mark Jones (Kathy), and Jennifer Kubit (Tom); as well as numerous, loved, nieces and nephews along with extended family.

Holly was a caregiver, bringing forth a kind heart and comfort to others in their time of need, serving many local families. Previously, she had been employed as a former CNA at Meadow View Nursing Center, sharing comfort and dignity to those in her care. She believed walking was good for both the body and mind. Holly was a kind and compassionate soul, known for her deep love of animals, with those gone before her awaiting her arrival at the Rainbow Bridge. She was a social member of the American Legion Post 653, South Fork; and VFW Post 7524, South Fork, where she was known to spend time with her closest friends. But above all, her greatest joy came from quality time with her treasured grandchildren as their “GiGi.” She loved them beyond measure.

“In life, we loved you dearly. In death, we love you still. In our hearts, you hold a special place no one else will ever fill.”

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at the Charles O. Dimond Funeral Home, Inc., South Fork.

Private visitation at the church from noon until time of funeral at 1 p.m. Wednesday at Trinity Evangelical Lutheran Church, 331 Weldon Street, Latrobe, PA 15650, the Reverend Jess Felici, officiating.
