Grace A. Martin

MARTIN – Grace A., 85, St. Michael, died December 29, 2018, at Select Specialty Hospital, Johnstown. Born June 29, 1933, in St. Michael, last surviving child of Robert N. and Elizabeth C. (Costlow) Myers. Preceded in death by parents; sisters, Beatrice Myers, Catherine Smith, Florence Myers, Agnes Robel, and Ruth D’Angelo; and brothers, Henry, Paul, Clair, George, and Raymond Myers.

Survived by loving husband of 62 years, Samuel R. Martin, son, Samuel V., married to Jean (Ressel), Perkasie; beloved grandchildren, Sara A. and Eric L. Martin, and numerous nieces and nephews.

Graduate of Adams Township High School, class of 1951, and devout member of St. Michael Catholic Church, St. Michael. Grace was a terrific cook and baker; family gatherings were always made special by her amazing efforts to prepare wonderful meals, celebrations and time with family. She had a kind, warm and gentle spirit and will be greatly missed by all who loved her.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Charles O. Dimond Funeral Home, Inc., South Fork, where vigil will be held.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Thursday at St. Michael Catholic Church, Fr. Brian Warchola Celebrant.
