WALTMAN – Goldie G., 86, McAlisterville, formerly of South Fork, went home to be with the Lord January 29, 2017. Born November 8, 1930, in Banks Township, Indiana County, daughter of Moss M. and Nora E. (Rishel) Kelly. Preceded in death by parents; husband, Floyd S. Waltman Sr., who died October 19, 1995, sisters, Mary Jane Fyock, Doris E. Fetterman and Emma McAdams; and brothers, Moss Junior, Kenneth Keith and John Thomas Kelly.
Survived by children, Patricia, wife of Roger Lorenz, Cleveland, Alabama; Nola, wife of Ted Eppley, Dillsburg; Kellie Lee Taylor, South Point, Ohio; Leah G. Ryan, Portage; Melinda, wife of Randy L. Dressler, McAlisterville; and Floyd S. Jr., Lucernemines; brothers, Harry, Smicksburg; Joseph, Armaugh; and Charles T., Beaufort, South Carolina; sister, Reah Vasas, Armaugh; 21 grandchildren; 42 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and numerous nieces, nephews and other beloved family and friends.
Goldie was a graduate of Armaugh High School, class of 1948 and proudly served in the Women’s Army Corps during the Korean War. Member of Turkey Valley United Methodist Church, Millerstown. Former member of First United Methodist Church, South Fork, where she was actively involved as a lay leader; sang in the choir; served on the Kitchen Committee; and also served as an officer at the local, District and Central PA District levels of the United Methodist Women. She also belonged to the Elderberries; the Golden Age Club; Church Women United; Women’s Aglow; American Legion, Post 653, South Fork, and their Ladies Auxiliary; South Fork Fire Dept. Auxiliary and the South Fork Women’s Club.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday and from 10 a.m. until time of funeral service at 11 a.m. Wednesday at Charles O. Dimond Funeral Home, Inc., South Fork, the Rev. Salvatore Buonocore officiating.
Interment, Forest Lawn Cemetery, Johnstown.
