KLAHRE – Gloria Jean, 70, South Fork, passed away peacefully May 3, 2020, at Cambria Care Center. Born February 9, 1950, in Johnstown, daughter of Walter Lynn and Mary Hilda (Wright) Yoder.
Preceded in death by parents; husband, Norman F. Klahre, Vietnam Veteran; infant brother, Ronnie; and uncle and aunt, Walter J. and Ida Belle (Yoder) Beck who raised her.
Survived by son, Theron (Teresa) Hight, California; daughter, Stephanie (Tom) Bobak, South Fork; beloved grandsons, Joey Yacobacci and Ryan Hight; siblings, Donna, Clifford, Danny, Leon, Brenda, and Bonnie; and numerous nieces and nephews, especially Karlie and Brock, with whom she was close.
Gloria was raised in South Fork and was a graduate of Forest Hills High School, class of 1968. She attended Cambria Rowe Business College and for a short time worked in the office at Forest Hills High School. For many years she was an active member at Mount Hope United Methodist Church, where she sang in the choir, taught bible school, and scheduled the acolytes. She was a dedicated mother and natural caregiver who spent a lifetime caring for others; including the countless children she babysat, her mother Ida, and her beloved husband. Gloria had a sweet and tender spirit. She was guided by her strong faith, made friends everywhere she went, and always recognized the good in others.
Honoring her wishes there will be no visitation or services.
Inurnment at Ss. Peter and Paul Byzantine Catholic Cemetery, Dunlo; will be scheduled at a later date.
