SCHRIFT – Gerald F., 88, Mineral Point, died February 1, 2023, at Conemaugh Memorial Hospital. Born June 4, 1934, in Summerhill, son of Kenneth and Elaine (McGough) Schrift. Preceded in death by parents; stepfather, George Shatrosky; wife, Helen M. (McCall) Schrift, who died September 29, 2010; and sister, Shirley Morris.

Survived by brothers, Kenneth D., Maple Valley, Washington; and Robert L., married to Carrie (Lorah), Dillsburg; numerous nieces and nephews; and special friends, Dave and Carm Smay and George and Suchita Bodenschatz.

Graduate of South Fork - Croyle High School, class of 1952 and member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Summerhill. Gerald was a US Air Force veteran of the Korean War and retired from the Bethlehem Steel Wheel Plant.

Friends will be received from 9 to 10:30 a.m. Monday at Charles O. Dimond Funeral Home, Inc., South Fork. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Monday at St. John’s Catholic Church, Father Joseph C. Nale, celebrant.

Committal, St. Marys Cemetery, New Germany.
