PRINGLE - Gerald “Jerry” Benjamin, Sr., 87, Frederick, Maryland; formerly of Mount Airy, Maryland; passed away Tuesday, August 22, 2017. Born September 17, 1929, in Summerhill, son of Benjamin E. and Clara E. Pringle.
Preceded in death by parents; brothers and sisters, Grace Vasbinder, Pearl Oswald, Ralph Pringle, Elsie Mervine, Ray Pringle, Vera Murray and Iona Carl.
Survived by loving wife of 61 years, Dorothy (Mraz) Pringle; sons, Jerry, Jr., Westminster, Maryland; and Mike, married to Pam (Craig), Mount Airy, Maryland; grandson, Michael, Walkersville, Maryland; granddaughter, Stephanie, Mount Airy, Maryland; and brother, Bruce (wife Ada) Pringle, St. Michael.
US Army veteran of the Korean War. He adored his grandchildren and enjoyed hunting, fishing and working in his garden.
A graveside memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday September 16, 2017, at Pringle Hill Cemetery, Summerhill. Military rites by St. Michael American Legion Post 551.
