Gary Lee Reighard Sr.

REIGHARD – Gary Lee Sr., 81, Mount Hope, went to be with the Lord August 27, 2022. Born February 6, 1941, in Johnstown, son of Raymond and Kathryn (McMillan) Reighard. Preceded in death by parents; brother, Dennis Ray Reighard; in-laws, Robert McMahon, Raymond and Glenn (Jean) Josephson, Richard Dunmire, and Bertha Witprachtiger; and nephew, Adam McMahon.

Survived by wife of 62 years, Elsie J. (Josephson) Reighard, whom he married June 18, 1960; son, Gary Lee Jr., Front Royal, Virginia; grandsons, Erik, Peru; and Josh (Skye Dixon), Linden, Virginia; sister, Sharon McMahon, Wilmore; and in laws, Terri Reighard, St. Michael; Raymond Witprachtiger, California; Sandra Dunmire, Salix; James (Mary Ann) Josephson, Sidman; and Robert (Cathy) Josephson, Salix; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Gary was a lifelong member of Mount Hope United Methodist Church. Graduate of Adams – Summerhill Joint High School, class of 1959. Following retirement as print shop manager from Gallaudet University, Washington D.C.; Gary worked at Dunham’s Sports in Johnstown for many years. Member of St. Michael Sportsmen, he enjoyed golfing, woodworking, and taking care of his lawn.

Friends will be received from 3 to 7 p.m. Wednesday at Charles O. Dimond Funeral Home, Inc., South Fork.

Visitation at the church from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. Thursday at Mount Hope United Methodist Church, the Reverend Joseph Stains presiding.

Interment, Mount Hope Cemetery.
