DUGAN – Gary R., 76, Portage, died November 25, 2022, at UPMC Presbyterian. Born June 13, 1946, in Johnstown, son of James Richard and Helen (Bertram) Dugan. Preceded in death by parents; daughter, Debra A. Holden; son, Russell J. Dugan; and daughter-in-law, Melinda (Zerr) Dugan.
Survived by wife, Lee H. (Decker) Dugan, whom he married June 17, 1967; daughter, Marie Allen, Lewistown; grandchildren, Meagan (Joey) Chott, Lake Elsinore, California; Brenna Dugan, San Antonio, Texas; Katie (Sebastian) Malone, Celina, Texas; R.J. Dugan, Lake Elsinore, California; Alex (Sarah) Allen, Greensburg, Tanya Allen, Lewistown; Michael Dugan, Westmont; and Brandon Dugan, Portage; numerous great-grandchildren; brothers, Rick Dugan, Riverside, California; Kenny Dugan, Fort Worth, Texas; and Randy Dugan, Lake Elsinore, California; sister, Cindy Dugan, Oregon.
Gary was a longtime resident of Riverside, California; and spent many years in the restaurant industry. In our surrounding communities he was known for bringing ice cream and joy in his musical ice cream truck.
Honoring his wishes, there will be no visitation; services are private. In lieu of flowers, buy a friend an ice cream novelty and remember the joy he shared.
