WIRICK – Gail I., 80, Salix, died August 18, 2018, at Richland Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center. Born April 17, 1938, in Windber, daughter of Charles and Ethel (Houghton) Weyandt.
Preceded in death by parents; and brothers, Robert, Gerald and James.
Survived by daughter, Bonnie “Chickie” and Walter Zapotoczny; Harrisburg; sons, Ronald Jr. “George” and Eva Wirick, Sidman; Jeffrey and Renee Wirick, Ebensburg; Kenneth and Jeanne Wirick, Windber; and Michael Wirick, Krayn; numerous beloved grandchildren, great grandchildren and great-great grandchildren; and brother, Charles Jr. and Lynn Weyandt, Dunlo.
Gail was a member of Salix Bethel United Methodist Church and was a retired nurse’s aide from Laurel Crest Manor. She enjoyed the outdoors, fishing, vacations, trips and spending time with family and friends. She was “the best Nana ever!” and will be sadly missed by all who loved her.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Charles O. Dimond Funeral Home, Inc., South Fork. Viewing will also be held at Salix Bethel United Methodist Church from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. Tuesday, the Rev. Don Poole presiding.
Interment, Dunmyer Cemetery, Salix.
