Fern A. Reese

REESE – Fern A., 101, Mt. Hope, died January 10, 2018 at Cambria Care Center. Born November 7, 1916 in Mount Hope, daughter of Edward and Perlena (Lint) Reighard.

Preceded in death by parents; husband, George Reese, who died in 1981; grandson, Eric; sisters, Ellen Claycomb, Beatrice Weaver, Violet Burkey and Betty Cochran; and brothers, Russell, Lowman, Lester, Orlo, Melvin, Roy and Telford. Fern was the last surviving member of her immediate family.

Survived by sons, Robert (Sharon), Jacksonville, Florida; and Jack, married to Lucy Penrod, Mt. Hope; grandchildren, Robert and Jennie, Ohio, Darrin, married to Sarah Ellis, Colver; and Tina wife of Charles Teno, Mt. Hope; and nine great grandchildren.

Fern was a member of Forest Hills Senior Center, South Fork.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Charles O. Dimond Funeral Home, Inc., South Fork and from 10 a.m. until time of funeral service at 11 a.m. Saturday at Mount Hope United Methodist Church, the Rev. Joseph Stains officiating.

Interment, Mount Hope Cemetery.
