JONES – Estella Grace, 99, Hooversville, went to be with the Lord April 30, 2023, at Windber Hospice. Born March 19, 1924, in Pavia, daughter of Laman Ickes and Florence (Knee) Benton – Ickes. Preceded in death by parents; husband, Samuel Jones, who died August 25, 1980; son, Barry Jones, son-in-law, Ronald Potochar; and fifteen siblings, infant C. Mearl Ickes, infant Ethel Benton, and infant Virgie Ickes; Joe Ickes, John Ickes, Della Leber, Harry Ickes, Shannon Ickes, A. Lucretia Corles, Charles Benton, Elsie Ickes, Chester Benton, Loretta Allison, Orville Ickes, and Violet Ickes.
Survived by daughter, Bonnie Potochar; daughter-in-law, Greta (Krisko) Jones; granddaughter, Anissa (Jones), wife of Marty Rosemas; grandson, Barry Jones Jr., married to Laura (Zerby); great grandchildren, KayLeigh, Logan, Hanna, Luke, and Josh; great-great grandchildren, Brooks, Chayden, and Clara Lynn; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Stella was a very devoted and active member of Bethel UMC, Hollsopple; and volunteered in other capacities as a gifted and loving member of the community. Retired OR Technician from Conemaugh Hospital. She enjoyed gardening, had a talent for finding unique merchandise to sell at the family store, and especially cherished time spent with her family.
Private family visitation and service on Wednesday at Charles O. Dimond Funeral Home, Inc., South Fork, the Reverend Sarah Adkins presiding.
