Eloise S. Chicoli

CHICOLI – Eloise S., 94, Sidman, died April 27, 2018 at Windber Hospice. Born October 9, 1923, in Alum Bank, Bedford County, daughter of Henry and Emma Jane (Miller) Sauter.

Preceded in death by parents; husband, Peter P. Chicoli, who died February 5, 2008; infant brother, Herman, and infant sister, Elizabeth; sisters, Mabel Barefoot, Alma Rowzer-Miller, Margaret Russell, Helen Sauter, and Arlene Impala; and brothers, Ernest, Harold, Eugene and Lloyd Sauter.

Survived by daughters, Carol A., wife of Terry Wingard, Sidman; and Diana Lynn, wife of Robert Baxter Sr., Sidman; grandchildren, Robert Lee Baxter Jr., married to Tiffany (Melhish), Amherst, VA; and Danyelle (Baxter), wife of Jason Weber, Hooversville; great-grandchildren, Tyler, Luke and Caitlyn; sister-in-law, Theona Chioccioli; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Eloise was the owner and operator of the former Sauter’s Market of Sidman. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church, Sidman and WELCA, lifelong member of Menoher Post 155 VFW Ladies Auxiliary, long time member and former officer of St. Michael American Legion Post 551 Ladies Auxiliary, and the South Fork Hunting and Fishing Club.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Charles O. Dimond Funeral Home, Inc., South Fork.

Funeral service will be held at noon Wednesday at Trinity Lutheran Church, the Reverend Peter Helmers officiating.

Interment, Forest Lawn Cemetery.
