WILSON – Elizabeth Anne “Libby”, 87, South Fork, died December 1, 2017, at Forest Hills Personal Care Home. Born September 26, 1930, in South Fork, daughter of Albert R. and Mae (Harris) Rojohn.
Preceded in death by parents; husband, Michael James Wilson, who died July 5, 1988; 2 year old sister, Dolores Elizabeth; nephew, Billy Spaid; and special sister-in-law, Anna Berkhimer.
Survived by sister, Dolores, widow of Harold Spaid, Madison, Ohio; nephew, Dennis Spaid and his wife Carlotta, Madison, Ohio; and great nephews, Edward Spaid and William Spaid O’Dell.
Elizabeth was a retired school teacher having taught in the South Fork-Croyle, Triangle Area, and Forest Hills School Districts for 36 years, teaching math, science, and history. Graduate of the former South Fork High, Class of 1948, and University of Pittsburgh Class of 1952. Member of the Wesley United Methodist Church, South Fork, where she served on their Board of Trustees, Administrative Board, and Auditing Committee; Chairperson and Treasurer of the Wesley Parking Lot; and was a Sunday School Teacher and a youth leader. She served on the Education and Supervisors Committee and Member of the Board of the C.B.W. Credit Union. Member of the YWCA and advisor of the Y-Teens in the Croyle and Triangle Area Districts followed by the Young Teens in the Forest Hills Area for many years. Member of the Forest Hills Senior Citizens, Golden Age Club, South Fork Legion Auxiliary, Auxiliary of Arbutus Park and Board member of South Fork Cemetery Association. Life member of PASR and NEA.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Charles O. Dimond Funeral Home, Inc., South Fork.
Viewing will also be held at Wesley United Methodist Church from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. Monday, the Rev. Arlene Bobrowicz officiating.
Interment, South Fork Cemetery.
