Elio F. Lucci

October 12, 1931 — January 23, 2025

LUCCI – Elio F., 93, Ehrenfeld, passed away peacefully at home on January 23, 2025, surrounded by his loving family. Born and raised in Ehrenfeld, Elio lived a life devoted to family, hard work, and community. Preceded in death by his beloved wife, Betty (Vettori) Lucci, who died August 12, 2015; cherished daughter, Toni Papcunik; grandson, Anthony Scarton; brother, Anthony Lucci; and parents, Frank and Pasqua (Girolami) Lucci.

Survived by his three devoted daughters, Debbie Scarton (Anthony); Sandy Georg (Lee); and Jackie Butterworth (Robert); son-in-law, Raymond Papcunik; 15 grandchildren; and 39 great-grandchildren, all of whom brought immense joy, love, and pride to his life.

A hardworking man, Elio retired from a career in the steel mills. He was dedicated to his community: serving at his church, on various boards, political committees, and in years of service for Cambria County. He was a charter board member of the Forest Hills Ambulance Assoc. since 1976 and remained on the board until his passing. Elio’s passion for helping others and improving his hometown was unmatched, leaving a lasting impact on those who worked alongside him. Elio had a lifelong devotion to his faith. With an assurance of salvation in Christ alone, we believe we will be reunited with him in heaven again one day. Above all else, Elio or "Pap Elio" will be remembered for taking his family on beach vacations, teaching grandkids and great grandkids how to play rummy, showing up for each and every ball game, birthday party, or special event he'd never want to miss. With his sharp wit and humor, he was sure to bring warmth and laughter to every gathering. He leaves a legacy of loving family well, caring for community, and enjoying life "vivere la bella vita.” He will be forever remembered and greatly missed.

Friends will be received from 1 p.m. until time of Life Celebration at 5 p.m. Saturday at Charles O. Dimond Funeral Home, Inc., South Fork; Jeff Maul, presiding.

In lieu of flowers, the family requests memorial donations be made to Seth Georg, 149 N. Deer Lane, Summerhill, PA 15958, for his continuing rehabilitation.
