DIERLING – Eleanor E., 77, Summerhill, passed away peacefully at home April 26, 2019, surrounded by loving family. Born January 5, 1942, in Johnstown, daughter of Stephen Sr. and Mary (Durica) Murin.
Preceded in death by parents; infant grandson, Charles Maslak; sisters, Rosemary Korber, Dolores Murin, Margaret Martinec, Therese Fuller and brothers, Stephen Jr. and Thomas Murin.
Survived by loving husband of 56 years, Edward “Diz” Dierling; children, Brenda, wife of James Maslak, Senoia, Georgia; Tina, wife of Ken Faint, Manassas, Virginia; Edward, married to Cathy Penrod, South Fork; and Michelle Dierling, Summerhill; beloved grandchildren, Justin (Stephanie) and Landon Faint, Jacob and Josh Maslak and Hannah and Luke Dierling; cherished great-granddaughter, Lily Faint; sister, Helen Picklo, Johnstown; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Eleanor was a member of Immaculate Conception Catholic Church and their Altar Rosary Society, New Germany. Graduate of Adams – Summerhill High School, class of 1961. She was a lifetime member of Johnstown H.O.G. Chapter and enjoyed the freedom of the open road, riding motorcycle with her husband. She was an expert archer and pistol shooter. She loved gardening and one of her favorite pastimes was helping her husband and daughter chop and stack firewood. She adored her grandchildren and loved sharing time with family and friends. Her genuine, loving and nurturing spirit will live on in the hearts of those who knew her.
Friends will be received from 1 to 4 and 5 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Charles O. Dimond Funeral Home, Inc, South Fork, where vigil will be held at 7:30 p.m. Sunday.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Monday at Immaculate Conception Catholic Church, Father Leon Hont, OSB, Celebrant.
Committal, Holy Name Mausoleum, Ebensburg.
