HELLER – Dorothy B., 84, Ebensburg, went to be with her Lord June 23, 2016, at home. Born April 14, 1932, in Conemaugh Township, Cambria County, daughter of Fred and Edith (Berkebile) Schmidt
Preceded in death by parents; husband, the Rev. Jack B. Heller, who died January 11, 2015; and brother, Harry.
Survived by children, Dennis, Salix; and his former wife, Peggy Martinec, Johnstown; Darlene, wife of Timothy Fyock, Mineral Point; Brian, with whom she resided, Ebensburg; and Brenda, wife of Richard Duncan, Lancaster; grandchildren, Josh Fyock, and wife Joleen; Justin Fyock, and wife Jess; Christy, and husband, Jesse Jackson; Andrew Harteis, and fiancée, Bryanna Parise; and Aaron Martinec; great-grandchildren, Joslynn, Isaak, Hailey, Ethan, Avery, Alicia, Riley, Aiden, Abby, Katie and Anna; sisters, Jean, wife of Sheldon Thomas, Davidsville; and Eleanor Yoder, Jurupa Valley, Calif.; sister-in-law, Alice Schmidt, Johnstown; and special nephew, David, and nieces Becky and Debbie (deceased) whom she helped raise.
Graduate and valedictorian at age 16 from East Conemaugh High School, class of 1948. She was a very devoted and active member of Locust Grove Church of the Brethren and a servant leader of many of their ministries, and in other capacities as a gifted and loving member of the congregation.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Charles O. Dimond Funeral Home, Inc., South Fork.
Viewing will also be held at Locust Grove Church of the Brethren, 1421 Clapboard Run Road, Johnstown, from 9 a.m. until time of funeral service at 10 a.m. Saturday, the Rev. Michael Christine and the Rev. Wesley Berkebile officiating.
Interment, Forest Lawn Cemetery, Johnstown.
