GRIGG – Dorothy, 81, South Fork, loving wife and mother, went to be with the Lord February 1, 2022, at home. Born September 28, 1940, in Fifficktown; last surviving child of Enoch and Sophia (Vroble) Gabany. Preceded in death by parents; granddaughter, Dana; sisters, Stella Meliss, Pauline Caron, and Irene Prince; and brothers, Alex and Joseph Gabany.
Survived by devoted husband of 61 years, Charles Grigg; children, Christi Maliepaard (Cor), Newark, DE; Ronald; Leah Kelley (Gene), James Creek; David, Salix; Brian (Barbara), York; and Sharon Murton (Daron), Mineral Point; fifteen cherished grandchildren and eight beloved great-grandchildren.
She was a member of Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church. As a devout Catholic, she sought strength and guidance through prayer, with special devotions offered to the Blessed Virgin Mary. Her legacy will be her loving commitment to the unborn and voiceless as a passionate supporter of the Pro-Life movement.
Friends will be received from 3 p.m. until time of vigil and Rosary service at 7 p.m. Friday at Charles O. Dimond Funeral Home, Inc., South Fork. Rosary service also at 10:45 a.m. Saturday at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church, followed by the Funeral Mass, which will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday, Father Joseph C. Nale, celebrant.
