Dorothy Irene Friedman

FRIEDMAN - Dorothy Irene, “Dottie,” 79, formerly of Sidman, went to be with her Lord, April 16, 2019, surrounded by family at Richland Healthcare and Rehabilitation Center. Born September 2, 1939, in Jackson Township. Preceded in death by parents, Joseph W. Sr. and Velda S. “Pat” (Jordan) Felix; and infant grandson, Robert Friedman.

Survived by daughter, Kathy, wife of Russell Scaife, Mineral Point, and son, Robert, married to Brenda (Rager), Nanty Glo; grandchildren, Charles, Chad and Russell Scaife Jr., Derrice Swords, Hollie Reynolds, and Ryan (Fiancee Kasey) and Daniel Friedman; great-grandchildren, Daniel, Lydia, David, Damian, Stella, Bellamy, Riley, and Archer; brothers, Joseph Jr., Grand Bay, Alabama; and Robert Sr., married to Carol (Henry), Sidman; numerous nieces and nephews; and her beloved chihuahua, Honker.

Dottie was a graduate of South Fork Croyle High School, class of 1957. Former member of Trinity Lutheran Church and their WELCA group. She retired as a sales associate for Sears, Roebuck and Co., Auto Center, after many years of service. She had a lifelong love of horseback riding and in her younger years was a talented roller skater, but her greatest joy was spending time with family.

Friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Thursday and from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. Friday at Charles O. Dimond Funeral Home, Inc., South Fork, Pastor Kevin Stock presiding. Interment,
