VARNER – Donald Lee, 72, Johnstown, died November 12, 2020 at home. Born September 5, 1948, in Mineral Point, son of Roy S. and Ruth J. (Grove) Varner. Preceded in death by parents; brother, Roy “Jim” Jr.; and sister, Debra J. Blough.
Survived by children, Donald “Skip” Jr.; Georganne Varner (Jamie Carlheim); Jodi Villa (Joe); and Brian Varner (Marsha); granddaughters, Carter and Ava; sisters, Mildred Miller and Ruth Ellen Mendick; and brothers, Jerry and Paul Varner.
Don was a graduate of Triangle Area High School, class of 1966; he served in the Pennsylvania Army National Guard and was a retired steelworker from US Steel Corp. He found peace and comfort in the beauty of the outdoors and cherished spending time with his grandchildren.
Honoring his wishes there will be no visitation or service.
