Donald W. Lester Sr.

LESTER – Donald W. Sr., 87, South Fork, went to be with the Lord, January 15, 2023, at Windber Hospice. Born August 25, 1935, in Windber, son of Jacob Sr. and Dora E. (Hull) Lester. Preceded in death by parents; beloved wife, Betty M. (Gramling) Lester, who died December 7, 2020; great granddaughter, Hannah Lewis; and brothers Eugene, Jacob Jr., and Ronald “Glenn” Lester.

Survived by children, Terri, wife of Rick Lewis, South Fork; Donald Jr., South Fork; Daniel, married to Karen (Miller), Mount Hope; Penny, wife of Brad Langworthy, Belmont; and Susan, wife of James Sandoval, Cover Hill; brother, Gary, married to Donna (Russell), Tracys Landing, Maryland; sister-in-law, Sophie (Dominguez) Lester; York; former daughter-in-law, Arlene (Ickes) Lester, Sidman; nine beloved grandchildren and 21 great grandchildren.

Member of Greater Johnstown Christian Fellowship. Don was a US Navy veteran of the Korean War and a retired service technician from Ebensburg Office Supply.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Wednesday at Charles O. Dimond Funeral Home, Inc., South Fork, where funeral services will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, the Reverend Jim Gay presiding.

Interment, Mount Hope Cemetery.
