HARR – Cletus Dalton “Del,” 92, Mineral Point, died January 6, 2021, at Maple Winds Care Center. Born March 6, 1928, in Johnstown, son of Cletus R. and Mildred (Ramsey) Harr. Preceded in death by parents; brother, Charles; and sisters, Laverne Paige and Barbara Burgan.
Survived by loving wife of 55 years, Lida (Fresch) Harr; sons, David, engaged to Terri Zeris, Mineral Point; James Harr, Johnstown; and John, Summerhill; daughter, Susan, wife of Curtis Rager, Lancaster; grandchildren, Michael (Maria), Marisa (Chris), Jacob, Anthony, Sara, Matthew, and Marcus; great-grandchildren, Levi and Sofia; sister, Gladys Howard; and brothers, Donald and Robert.
Del served in the US Navy from 1945 – 1957, earning the rank of Petty Officer 1st Class. He retired from the printing department of the Tribune-Democrat after 33 years of service. Active member of the American Legion, GBU, PNA, AMVETS, and VFW. He enjoyed reading, watching sports, nature, country music, and his dog, Buddy. Del was a loving husband, father, grandfather, uncle, and friend. He will be missed by all who knew him.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Charles O. Dimond Funeral Home, Inc., South Fork, where funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday.
Interment, Forest Lawn Cemetery, Johnstown.
