TRUSCOTT – David D., 76, Nanty Glo, died April 18, 2018, at Cambria Care Center. Born December 10, 1941, in Johnstown, son of Arthur W., Jr. and Nellie N. (Simpson) Truscott.
Preceded in death by parents; brothers, Earl and Meade Truscott; and former wife, Nancy L. (Keeney) Truscott.
Survived by daughter, Juanita Renee, wife of Wade Johns, Dale; sons, Aaron, Matthew and Mark Truscott, all of South Fork; grandchildren, David W. Truscott, Brooklyn N. Moffat and Joshua Plummer; great grandchildren, Brandyn Truscott, Kaiden and Oliver Jones, and Allison Plummer; brothers, Arthur W. Truscott, III, married to Connie (Anderko), Delmont; and Raymond L. “Scotty” Truscott, married to Dorothy (Chapman), Johnstown; long time special friend, Eugene Ostinowsky, Nanty Glo; sister-in-law, Marian (Wyatt)Truscott, St. Michael; and former daughter-in-law, Sonia Moffat, South Fork.
David was a 1960 graduate of South Fork Croyle High School and Hammond Beauty School. He owned and operated Truscott’s Beauty Salon in South Fork and a shop in Jennerstown known as The House of David. He was employed at Campus in the former Richland Mall and at Laurel View Village. He was an active member of Summit Chapel United Methodist Church. Was also a former President of the South Fork Lions Club and was a founding member and president of the Jennerstown Fall Festival Committee. He enjoyed singing and spending time in his garden.
Friends will be received from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m. and 4 p.m. to 8 p.m. Sunday and from 10 a.m. until time of funeral service at 11 a.m. Monday at Charles O. Dimond Funeral Home, Inc., South Fork by the Reverend Keith H. Lohr. Interment, South Fork Cemetery.
