David R. Kough

KOUGH – David R., 83, Leesburg, Virginia; died November 19, 2022. Born June 8, 1939, in Windber, son of Wenard R. and Juniata V. (Hamilton) Kough. Preceded in death by parents; wife, Eleanor J. (Gurchik), who died August 10, 1992; and sister Donna Kovach.

Survived by daughter, Brenda Rea-Leslie, wife of Mike Leslie, Ashburn, Virginia; and grandson, Christopher Rea, St. Petersburg, Florida.

David served in the US Navy from 1958 - 1962 and retired following a 30 career as a CIA photographer.
He was a life member of the American Legion Post 653, South Fork; and belonged to Sterling United Methodist Church in Sterling, Virginia. He enjoyed trips to his hometown of Windber, Pennsylvania and loved sharing stories of his childhood and family. David especially cherished spending time with his family. He was a loving Father and Grandfather who will be missed tremendously.

Friends will be received from 6 to 8 p.m. Friday November 25, 2022 and from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. Saturday November 26, 2022 at Charles O. Dimond Funeral Home, Inc., South Fork, the Reverend Randy Landman presiding.

Interment, South Fork Cemetery.
