David Wayne Fogle Sr.

FOGLE – David Wayne Sr., 56, Johnstown, died October 1, 2023. Born September 16, 1967, in Johnstown, son of Robert Sr. and Ann (Dombrowski) Fogle. Preceded in death by father, brothers, Ronald and Robert Jr.; and stepson, Bryan Kubic Jr.

Survived by his mother, Ann; wife, Renee (Greathouse) Fogle; children, Britney, David Jr. (Denae), and Kayla (Scott); stepchildren, Mathew, and Nicole; grandchildren, Hayden, Emerson, Remington, Eli, and Gunner; step grandchildren, Sienna, Bri, Laken, Riley, Paisley, Liam, Luke, and Braydon; brother, Bill (Brenda); sister, Cheryl; and sister-in-law, Connie. US Army veteran of Operation Desert Storm. Dave retired as a Major with the Department of Corrections, having worked at SCI Huntingdon and Pinegrove; and was employed as a Lieutenant with Blair County Jail. He had the kind of smile that seemed to radiate pure joy and his heart of gold was genuinely full of compassion and love. He loved motorcycles, the outdoors, and his Momma (not in that order). He cherished spending time with family and friends; and could often be found cooking, camping, or yelling at the TV when the Steelers and Penguins ignored his advice.

Friends will be received from 3 p.m. until time of service at 7 p.m. Wednesday at Charles O. Dimond Funeral Home, Inc., South Fork, Pastor Mike Kenney of Locust Grove Church of the Brethren presiding.

Military rites by St. Michael American Legion, Post 551 at the funeral home immediately following the service.
