PODRASKY – Daniel Don, 80, Summerhill, died July 18, 2019, at Memorial Medical Center. Born July 26, 1938, in Cassandra, son of John Sr. and Dorothy (Sabol) Podrasky. Preceded in death by parents; infant sister, Anne; and brothers, John “Kid” Jr., Andrew, Frank, and Edward.
Survived by loving wife of 55 years, Catherine I. (Duffy) Podrasky, whom he married, May 30, 1964; daughters, Regina Wasnick, Summerhill; and Molly, wife of Thomas Jackson, Hamilton, Virginia; granddaughter, Kolby Wasnick and fiancée, Pam Young, South Fork; sisters, Helen Passick, Parma, Ohio; and Dorothy Single, Detroit, Michigan; and sister-in-law, Anne “Honey” Podrasky, Willowick, Ohio.
Daniel was a veteran of the US Air Force. Graduate of Portage Area High School, class of 1956. He attended Coyne Electrical School of Chicago and worked for AT&T, Verizon, and Lucent. Member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Summerhill, where he served as custodian for many years after his retirement. He was a talented amateur photographer and a skilled woodworker. His family and friends will forever cherish the wonderful memories they shared.
Honoring his wishes, visitation will be private.
Family and friends are invited to attend a Funeral Mass which will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Monday at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Father Leon Hont, OSB, Celebrant.
Committal, St. Marys Cemetery, New Germany.
