WATKINS – Dan R., 69, South Fork, died December 22, 2022, at Windber Hospice. Born October 15, 1953, in Johnstown, son of the late Charlesworth and Dorothy (Fleming) Watkins.
Survived by loving partner of 19 years, Carol Shaffer, South Fork; children, Christopher, married to Natalie (Zimmer), Johnstown; Timothy, married to Kellie (Lamer), Elton; Ryan, married to Amy Jo (Jenkins), Ebensburg; Tonya, married to Brian Lightcap, Pittsburgh; Kayla, married to Justin Ronan, Richland; and Jenna, married to Jeff Russell, Elton; siblings, Connie, widow of Robert Shilcosky, Mineral Point; Kenny (Joanne) Watkins, Philadelphia; Donna Watkins (Dan Makin), North Carolina; and Ronnie Watkins, South Fork; grandchildren, Maxwell, Travis, Caleb, Devyn, Dylan, Emma, Gage, Addie, Kolton, Jakob, Lukas, Taylor, Maddux, Brooke, and Brayden; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Dan was a lifelong steel worker. He cherished his family and the joy they gave him. He had a passion for hunting and fishing, made you laugh and smile singing karaoke, and especially loved family vacations to Ocean City and the Outer Banks.
A Memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Friday, December 30, 2022, at South Fork First United Methodist Church, the Reverend Randy Landman, presiding.
Inurnment, South Fork Cemetery.
