REIGHARD – Clyde Arvin “ARV,” 77, Ruthford, went to be with the Lord June 2, 2017
at Memorial Medical Center, after a courageous battle with cancer. Born September 9, 1939, in Johnstown, son of Leroy and Suie (Weaver) Reighard.
Preceded in death by parents; brothers, Clair Reighard and Donnie Weaver, infant sister,
Lucy Reighard; and by his granddaughter Laken’s fiancé, James “Slim” Parks.
Survived by his high school sweetheart of 54 years, Beverly (Makins) Reighard, whom he married December 22, 1962; son, Larry (Jodie) Reighard, Bedford; daughter, Lori (Glen) Savitts, Sidman; grandchildren, Rayanna (Mark) Bier, Hali Shaffer, Laken Shaffer, Casie Eppley, Niki (John) Silk, Clayton (Kerri) Savitts, Alicia Savitts, Mary (Bradlee) Sharp, Nicole Savitts, and the light of his life, Myleigh Charmlnn Savitts; and 13 beloved great grandchildren.
ARV was a US Army veteran of the Vietnam War and retired from coal mining after 34 years of service. Lifetime member of American Legion Post 460, Beaverdale. He enjoyed karaoke with friends, riding his Harley, and spending time with his wife, kids, grandkids and great grandkids. He also loved mowing the grass with his helper Myleigh and their many special dates. He was a jack of all trades, and was always willing to lend a hand.
Friends will be received from 2 p.m. until time of memorial service at 4
p.m. Sunday, June 11, 2017, at Wesley United Methodist Church, South Fork,
the Rev. Arlene Bobrowicz officiating.
Military service at the church by St. Michael American Legion Post 551.
