MEHALL – Claudia, 63, South Fork, died April 28, 2018, at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center. Born April 19, 1955, in Johnstown, daughter of Roselyn June (Peel) and the late David Leach.
Survived by mother; loving husband, James Mehall, South Fork; sons, James, engaged to Mariah Gomez, Allentown; David, South Fork; and Scott, Pittsburgh; siblings, David “Sandy” Jr., married to Annette (Weaver), Sidman; Amy Dzura, Burke, Virginia; and Howard “Gus,” married to Terri (Galosi), Sidman; and numerous nieces and nephews and other beloved family and friends.
Claudia was valedictorian of Forest Hills High School, class of 1973. She earned her bachelor degree from Clarion University and a master degree from Indiana University of Pennsylvania. Member of Wesley United Methodist Church, South Fork and the PSEA. She had worked for IU8 and was passionate about her work with young people as the Supervisor of Special Education and School Psychologist at the Forest Hills School District. Claudia will be remembered as a devoted wife, beloved mother and selfless caregiver who nurtured with generosity and compassion. Her loving spirit will live on within all who were blessed to meet her.
Friends will be received from 2 to 8 p.m. Monday at Charles O. Dimond Funeral Home, Inc., South Fork.
Viewing will also be held at Wesley United Methodist Church from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. Tuesday, the Reverend Arlene Bobrowicz officiating.
Interment, South Fork Cemetery.
