SALAMON – Clairann, 89, New Germany, passed away September 18, 2024. Born July 25, 1935, in Colver, daughter of John and Elizabeth (Dubreuq) Malloy. Preceded in death by parents; husband, Julian; son, Robert; sisters, Gloria “Jean” Gallardy and Mary Katherine “Kay” Mock; brother, John “Jack”; and grandson Thomas Salamon.
Survived by children, Gary, (Robin Hostetler); Julie, (Sean) McEvoy; Kathy Morris; John, (Sherry Haney); and Wayne, (Linda May); nine grandchildren and four great grandchildren.
Retired from the Johnstown office of Peoples Natural Gas. Clairann always had a book nearby. When she wasn’t reading, she enjoyed listening to music, watching classic movies and exercising by going on walks. She delighted in spending time on the golf course with her sister Jean and traveling to visit family and friends. Her kitchen was always filled with the warmth of freshly baked goods and homemade candy at Easter. She enjoyed engaging in political discussions and firmly standing up for what she believed in.
Friends will be received from 4 to 7 p.m. Sunday at Charles O. Dimond Funeral Home, Inc., South Fork.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated 10 a.m. Monday at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Summerhill; Father Joseph C. Nale, celebrant.
Committal, St. Marys Cemetery, New Germany.
