Cathy J. Adams

ADAMS – Cathy J., 60, Salix, died April 13, 2018, at home. Born August 30, 1957, in Johnstown, daughter of Rose (Gramling) Ellenberger and the late Robert W. Ellenberger.

Survived by mother, Mount Hope; loving husband, Danny Ray Adams, Salix; son, Robert Tasker, Richland; step-children, Christina, married to Paul Grosik, Mineral Point; and Danny Adams Jr., married to Gary Thurby, Hershey; brother, Douglas, married to Lucinda (Rummel), Sidman; step-grandchildren, Matthew, Jared and Ella; and former husband, David Tasker, New York.

Cathy was a graduate of Greater Johnstown Vo-Tech and Mount Aloysius College. She was a member of Mount Hope United Methodist Church and was active with the Adams Township Area Lions Club. Cathy enjoyed her many years helping others as a physical therapist assistant at Chan Soon-Shiong Medical Center at Windber. She cherished spending time with friends and family, and caring for those around her. Her loving spirit will live on forever with everyone who was blessed to walk into her life.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday at Charles O. Dimond Funeral Home, Inc., South Fork, where the Lions will hold a service at 7 p.m.

Viewing will also be held at Mount Hope United Methodist Church from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. Tuesday, the Rev. Joseph Stains officiating.

Interment, Mount Hope Cemetery.
