Catherine M. "Kitty" Smith

SMITH – Catherine M., “Kitty,” 92, Richland, formerly of Sidman, went to be with the Lord October 30, 2023, at Windber Woods. Born August 26, 1931, in Sidman; daughter of Byron Q. and Ursula (Miller) Seaman.

Preceded in death by parents; and husband, William B. Smith, who passed away August 27, 2013. Survived by sons, Douglas, married to Janet (Johnson); Bradley, married to Catherine (Marsalko); and Scott, married to Cindi (Kauffman); daughter, Melissa, wife of Guy Lohr; grandchildren, Erik, Jonathan, Todd, Justin, Ashley, Brandon, Joshua, Cody and Catherine; great-grandchildren, Kiera, Brayden, Logan, Anna, Abigail, Audrey, Parker, Olivia, Andrew, Grayson, Zayne, Hudson, and Porter; sisters, Gail, wife of Wayne Bentz and Sally, wife of Gale Schofield; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Kitty was a graduate of Adams Township High School, class of 1949. She was a member of Trinity Lutheran Church and a retired registered nurse with Conemaugh Hospital. An avid reader and ruthless pinochle player. She enjoyed watching sunrises from her balcony, loved Steelers and Nittany Lions football, and cherished beach vacations with family.

Friends will be received at the church from 10 a.m. until time of memorial service at 11 a.m. Friday at Trinity Lutheran Church, Vicar Claudia Plows, presiding. Arrangements by Charles O. Dimond Funeral Home, Inc., South Fork. Inurnment, South Fork Cemetery.
