HETTLE – Catherine C., “Honey,” 98, Sidman, formerly of Summerhill, died August 2, 2018, at Forest Hills Personal Care. Born March 22, 1920, in South Fork, she was the last surviving child of John F. and Margaret E. (Suder) Dunmyer. Preceded in death by parents; husband, Donald L. Hettle, who died January 27, 1982; daughters, Constance J. Weaver and Colleen A. Chapman; sisters, Vera Wolfe, Gertrude Giles, Beatrice Williams and Mary Trossbach; infant brothers, Edward and Bernard; and brothers, Leo, Eugene, Lawrence, Charles, Richard, Robert and Paul.
Survived by children, Mark D., married to Beverly (Mitchell), Granbury, Texas; M. Lauren, married to Gene Amigh, Johnstown; and Christopher L., married to Wanda (Hill), Wilson, North Carolina; cherished grandchildren, Nicole (Mark) Culp; Jennifer (Gary) Kriska; Michele (Damon) Hickman; Mark Weaver; Chad (Cheryl) Weaver; Gene (Judy) Amigh; Meagan, Ashley and Hillary Chapman; Amanda (Adam) Tucker; Kendall (Terrance) Lesko; Taylor Hettle and Amber Stott; and also adored great grandchildren, Ryan, Abbie, Morgan, Maddie, Stephanie, Will, Matthew, Hunter, Hailey, Olivia, Caleb, Lilly, Addie, Talon, Wyatt, Braydon, Grayson, Kylie and Harrison.
Honey was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, Summerhill, and their Altar and Rosary Society. She was the former assistant Postmistress in Summerhill. Her greatest joy was her family, and although she will be sadly missed, her gentle spirit will remain in all who knew and loved her.
Friends will be received from 4 to 8 p.m. Sunday at Charles O. Dimond Funeral Home, Inc., South Fork, where the Rosary will be prayed at 5:30 p.m. and an evening vigil will be held.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Monday at St. John’s Catholic Church, by Father Leon Hont, OSB.
