Catherine Marie Gainey

GAINEY – Catherine Marie, 63, South Fork, died June 8, 2024. Born July 29, 1960, in Port Orange, Florida; daughter of the late William Harvey Edge and Eleanor Alice (Simmons) Edge.

Survived by daughters, Michelle, wife of Jeffrey Platt; and Tiffany Gainey; grandchildren, Kaitlyn Ogden, Leighanna Evette, Shayla Lingo, Kyleigh Ray, Madisson Washington, Christopher Breazele; great grandchildren, Jaxon, Sophia, Spencer, Kimberly, Greyson; and her beloved Chihuahuas, Milo and Gracie. 

Catherine was a true animal lover, with a passion for creatures of the sea, whether she was exploring tide pools, marveling at the grace of dolphins, or advocating for sea turtles and orcas, Catherine's love for the marine world was a testament to her compassion and curiosity. Catherine's children and grandchildren were the center of her universe. Nothing brought her more joy than the laughter and love shared within her family. She cherished every moment spent with her kids and grandbabies, creating memories filled with warmth and affection. Her home was always a haven of love, where every grandchild felt the embrace of her boundless love.

At the request of the family there will be no public visitation or service.
