Carol M. McDaniel

McDANIEL – Carol M., 80, went to be with the Lord August 6, 2024, at home. Born August 5, 1944, in Stidham, Oklahoma. Preceded in death by parents; Earl and Margaret (Toler) McDaniel; son, Kenny McDaniel; brother, Dennis McDaniel; and sister, Mickey Yarberry.

Survived by wife, Susan (Gargon) McDaniel; children, Chris McDaniel (Shelly); Kristi Clifford (Bob); Kelli Moss (Shayne Brandenburg); and Arthur D. Moss; grandchildren, Colby, Callum, CJ, Bobby, Morgan, Bre, and Bailey; great grandchildren, Julian and Emelia; brother, Bob McDaniel; sisters, Peggy (Jessie Anderson) and Judy Peterson; in-laws, Nadine Deitle (Bill); Shelli Homza; Dan Gargon (Kim); and Melinda Shiner; and many nieces and nephews he loved dearly. 

Carol was a man of deep and abiding faith. His belief in the Lord was a guiding force in his life, providing him with strength, comfort, and hope. He was active in the Methodist Church (Harmony Methodist Church, Falling Waters, West Virginia) and the lay-led ministry, Tres Dias. His work as a carpenter reflected his dedication, attention to detail, and love for his craft. Carol was an avid fan of the Pittsburgh Steelers and horse racing. He was known for his delicious desserts. And his kitchen was always filled with warmth, laughter, and the irresistible aroma of something wonderful baking in the oven. Above all, he was a family man and especially cherished the time spent with his grandchildren and great grandchildren. 

Friends will be received from 2 p.m. until time of memorial service at 4 p.m. Sunday at Charles O. Dimond Funeral Home, Inc., South Fork; Pastors Rodney Hatfield and Jon Gulnac presiding.
