Carm A. Colton

COLTON – Carmelina A. “Carm,” 95, South Fork, died April 17, 2023, at Forest Hills Personal Care Home, Sidman. Born May 22, 1927, in South Fork, daughter of Salvatore and Josephine (Messina) Ardire.

Preceded in death by parents; beloved husband, George Colton, who died July 27, 2022; sister, Katherine Rolla; and brother, Anthony A. Ardire.

Survived sons, Dr. Richard, married to Joanne (Sebastian), Granite Falls, North Carolina; and David, married to Pauline (Hop), Las Vegas, Nevada; grandchildren, Adam, Deanna, Tom (Mary), and Linda (Mike); great grandchildren, Anna (Tyler), Mariah (Dominic), Tommy, Jordan, Jade, and Jocelyn; great-great grandchildren, Kayle and Jase.

Graduate of South Fork High School, class of 1944. Carm was a member of Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church, South Fork; where she sang in the choir for many years. She worked as a payroll clerk for Goldstein and Levine, was an aide with the Forest Hills School District, and following retirement enjoyed time shared with friends at the Forest Hills Senior Citizens Center.

Friends will be received from 3 to 7 p.m. Thursday at Charles O. Dimond Funeral Home, Inc., South Fork.

Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Friday at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church, Father Joseph C. Nale, Celebrant.
