C. Franklin Miller

MILLER – C. Franklin “Frank,” 88, Salix, went to be with the Lord, October 5, 2024. Born December 18, 1935, in Johnstown. Preceded in death by parents; and wife, Donna A. (Gauntner) Miller, who died July 10, 2009. 

Survived by children, David Miller (Kellie); and Leslie Miller-Robison (Chris); grandchildren, Ryan Robison (Dr. Elizabeth Landry), Amanda Miller (A.J. Dawes), Max Robison, Hecate Robison, Alex Miller (Caroline), Hilda Martinez Guzman, Reina Martinez Guzman, and Miseal Portillo Martinez, and dear friend Sally Boring. 

Frank was a graduate of Adams – Summerhill High School, class of 1953 and earned an associate degree in business administration from Cambria Rowe. He attended Salix Bethel Church and enjoyed the many friendships he made as a member of the South Fork Lions Club. Frank wasn’t just a second-generation business owner; he was the heart and soul of a family legacy that began with his father’s vision for a welding school. Over the years, that concept evolved and adapted from a car dealership into a cornerstone of our community—the Miller Motor Co., which has safely transported school students for decades. Everyone loved Frank! He was a great listener and had a humble spirit; he never sought the spotlight but instead quietly uplifted those around him. He adored his grandchildren and loved talking about their accomplishments and dreams, no matter how big or small. His kindness inspired us all to be better, to reach out, and to support one another. 

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 5 to 8 p.m. Thursday at Charles O. Dimond Funeral Home, Inc., South Fork; where the Lions Club will hold a service at 6 p.m. 

Honoring the wishes of the family, the funeral service will be private. 

Interment, Dunmyer Cemetery, Salix.
