PRICE – “Butch,” Harold J., 74, Johnstown, died March 17, 2018, at Conemaugh Memorial Medical Center. Born October 1, 1943, in Johnstown, son of Harold E. and Mary Lou (Spicher) Price.
Prededed in death by parents; and brother, Tony.
Survived by loving wife, Linda A. (Stiffler) Price; children, Annette Rich, Durham North Carolina; Deann Price, Columbia, South Carolina; and Brian (Susan) Dilltown; grandchildren, Hannah Rich and Brailee and Kylie Price; brother of, Judy MacDonald, Dorothy Kline, Joe (Sandy) Price, Vera (Gene) Strayer, and Mary Beth Price; also survived by mother-in-law, Barbara Stiffler; brother-in-law, Lonnie Stiffler; and sister-in-law, Bonnie (Dale) Hagerich; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Butch was a US Navy veteran having served during the Cuban Missile Crisis. He retired from the 11 inch mill at Bethlehem Steel and was a strong union advocate with the United Steelworkers. Member of the Elks, F & AM and lifetime member of the Dilltown Sportman Club. He enjoyed coaching youth football for over 25 years; was an avid golfer; and a passionate poker player, traveling to Las Vegas for the Senior Poker Tour.
Friends will be received from 2 to 8 p.m. Tuesday at Charles O. Dimond Funeral Home, Inc., South Fork, where funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Wednesday ,the Rev. Ruth Moore officiating.
Interment, Maple Spring Cemetery, Jerome.
