SIKORA – Romona Yvonne “Bonnie,” 98, South Fork, passed away peacefully January 16, 2021, at home surrounded by family. Born July 29, 1922, in Mahaffey, Clearfield County; she was the last surviving child of Dorsey and Flossie Maud (Dawson) Hutzell.
Preceded in death by parents; husband Steve Sikora, who died December 25, 1994; daughter, Clara Sutt; sons, Russell and Wm. Joseph Hufford; in-laws, Paul Sutt, Nancy (Barko) Hufford, George Tuthill, and Richard Vivian; sisters, Lyndle Ringler, Elma Schlosser, and Eleanor Gerber; brothers, Rex, Darwin, Ellwood, and Alvin; an infant brother and infant sister; and first husband, Russell J. Hufford.
Survived by children, Jean Tuthill (Don Franklin), Massachusetts; Flossie, wife of John Sivec Jr., Salix; Elaine, wife of Dr. Thomas Jenkins; Denise, wife of Michael Krehel, all of South Carolina; Stephanie, wife of Paul Weakland, Portage; Susan Vivian; Stephen; and Shawn, married to Leigh (Poborsky), all of South Fork; brother-in-law, Robert Sikora, Cleveland, Ohio; twenty-one grandchildren; twenty-seven great-grandchildren; three and a half great great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Bonnie was a very devoted and active member of Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church for over sixty-five years. As a gifted and loving member of the laity she served in many of their ministries, sang in the choir, was a Eucharistic minister, lector, and enjoyed fellowship with friends in the Mary and Joseph Society. Past president of Adams Township and Cambria County Society of Farm Women of Pennsylvania. Member of South Fork Women’s Club; South Fork Volunteer Fire Department, Ladies Auxiliary; VFW Auxiliary; Red Hat Society; and Charter member of Forest Hills Senior Center.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Friday at Charles O. Dimond Funeral Home, Inc., South Fork.
Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11 a.m. Saturday at Most Holy Trinity Catholic Church, 550 Main Street, South Fork; Father Joseph C. Nale, Celebrant.
