KOSTAN – William S. “Bill,” 89, South Fork, died June 23, 2023, at home. Born May 12, 1934, in Portage, son of Andrew and Anna (Sepata) Kostan. Preceded in death by parents; brother, James Kostan; and sister, Blanche Barnish.
Survived by wife of 65 years, Delores J. “Dee” (Bartko) Kostan, whom he married May 17, 1958; children, Deborah Braxton; Jeffrey “Butch,” married to Michelle (Wolfhope); Rebecca, married to Robert Single; Brian, married to Tessy (Ruddek); and Kimberly, married to John Snyder; grandchildren, Montana, Savannah, Sierra, Jared (Kayla), Jason (Ansastasia), Jamie (Caleb), Alexis, Briana (Zach), Megan (Sean), Tyson, and Taylor; great-grandchildren, Anna, Jack, Gavin, Gabe, Joseph, and Aubrie; and sisters, Dorothy Burgan, Mildred Chappell, and Barbara, married to Bruce Brunett.
Graduate of Portage High School, class of 1953. Member of St. Michael Catholic Church. US Navy Veteran. Bill was a retired sales representative in the building materials industry. Lifetime member Elks Lodge, Johnstown. He enjoyed farming, hunting, gardening, and spending time with his grandchildren and family.
Private family visitation. Family and friends are invited to attend the Funeral Mass which will be celebrated at 11:30 a.m. Tuesday at St. Michael Catholic Church, Monsignor David Lockard, celebrant.
