HOUGHTON – Betty Lou, 76, Sidman, died November 19, 2022, at home. Born February 9, 1946, in Ehrenfeld, daughter of Grover W. and Wilda E. (Schnars) Bush. Preceded in death by parents; sister, Iris Folckemer; brothers, Delmar and Gary; and nephew, Wayne.
Survived by husband of 57 years, Dennis Houghton, whom she married August 7, 1965; sons, Kevin, married to Holly (Weaver), Windber; and Brad, married to Connie (Churilla), South Fork; grandson, Garrett Houghton; granddaughter, Lindsey Houghton; great grandson, Caleb Gill; brothers, Lemuel Bush, Topeka, Kansas; and Charles, married to Barbara (Brothers), Bennet, Colorado; and numerous nieces and nephews.
Betty Lou was a graduate of Triangle Area High School, class of 1964. She was a talented seamstress and longtime bus driver for Miller Motors. She enjoyed the company of friends and was devoted to her beloved family.
Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday and from 10 a.m. until time of service at 11 a.m. Tuesday at Charles O. Dimond Funeral Home, Inc., South Fork; the Reverend Jon C. Gulnac presiding.
Private interment, Dunmyer Cemetery.
