Betty Dremely

DREMELY – Betty, 97, Rochester, N.Y., formerly of St. Michael, passed away March 21, 2016. Born Oct. 10, 1918, in St. Michael, daughter of the late John and Mary (Lazorchak) Harland. Preceded in death by her parents; husband, Tony who died May 14, 1974; twin sister, Carolyn Fox; sister, Helen Scavuzzo; brothers, John and Walter Harland; half sisters, Ann Ryan, Mary Corbett and Catherine Gulaski; and half brothers, Michael, Joseph, Peter and Paul Zubal. Betty was the last remaining member of her immediate family. She is survived by her daughter and son-in-law, Diane and Daile Rose, Dundee, N.Y.; granddaughters, Christi Civalier, and husband, Adam, Rochester, N.Y.; Lori Siegert, and husband, Eric , Minneapolis, Minn.; great-granddaughters, Quinn Civalier and Portia Civalier, Rochester, N.Y.; as well as several nieces and nephews. She was a member of St. Michael's Catholic Church; St. Michael American Legion Auxiliary Post 551 and St. Michael Fire Company ladies auxiliary. She retired from Tru-Form Sewing Factory, Windber, in 1982 after 29 years of service. Betty loved spending time with her family especially her great-granddaughters who brought her so much joy. As a resident on Friendship 4-West of Monroe Community Hospital, she enjoyed watering the plants and decorating for the holidays. She enjoyed shopping and taking care of her home. She loved flowers and tending to her flower gardens. Betty cherished her many friends and neighbors and enjoyed the times they spent together. Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 p.m. Monday, March 28, at Charles O. Dimond Funeral Home Inc., South Fork, where a vigil will be held Monday. Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 10 a.m. Tuesday, March 29, at St. Michael's Catholic Church, St. Michael, by Father Joseph Nale. Committal, St. Michael Catholic Cemetery.
